Tameeka and Mitch / Babalou wedding film

So often, society puts us into boxes based on who we are, what title we wear day-to-day. Maybe sometimes we even start putting these limitations on ourselves?

Tameeka flipped the ‘accountants aren’t creative’ cliche completely on its head.

Between her and Mitch they poured their absolute heart and soul into their day, learning photoshop from scratch to create their custom stationery, making their own photobooth props, constructing countless items through multiple prototypes (including concrete candle holders)

And what about this? She even learnt how to bake and made their wedding cake. #nextlevel

But as amazing as all that was, the philosophy of the day was really simple. Two people in love, just beaming at being able to celebrate + party with those closest to them.

I felt blessed I could be there for it and do their hard work and their story some justice.

Jarrod Croker and Brittney Wicks wedding highlights

Thrilled to share the highlights from Jarrod Croker and Brittney Wicks’ wedding held in the Byron hinterland.

I met with Britt a few month prior to the wedding, and after hearing more about what was planned, I suggested the idea of spending some time in the days leading up to the day with both of them to help build a more complete story.

I’m glad I did, and I’m glad they trusted my vision.

Connecting and having the space and time with them to capture some of the events, feeling and thoughts in the lead up to the day was priceless.

So much great content, so many great stories and plenty of surprises from an amazing couple of days.

Everything I do is driven by story. Conveying what’s happening, whether big or subtle, and interpreting that through light, camera movement, the lens and into the edit suite to really shape and mould it into something honest and meaningful.

This careful listening + observational approach is 100% applicable to businesses or brands that need to get their message out there. To really connect the viewer and deliver something emotive and powerful.

Over the last few years I’ve produced brand films for quite a few different industries – from boutique photographers to farmers to international airlines and everything in between.

There’s been innumerable studies about the power of high end video and how large a portion of internet traffic it takes up now. Put simply – if you don’t have video, you’re missing a big part of the picture
