Jarrod Croker and Brittney Wicks wedding highlights

Thrilled to share the highlights from Jarrod Croker and Brittney Wicks’ wedding held in the Byron hinterland.

I met with Britt a few month prior to the wedding, and after hearing more about what was planned, I suggested the idea of spending some time in the days leading up to the day with both of them to help build a more complete story.

I’m glad I did, and I’m glad they trusted my vision.

Connecting and having the space and time with them to capture some of the events, feeling and thoughts in the lead up to the day was priceless.

So much great content, so many great stories and plenty of surprises from an amazing couple of days.

Thanks for watching.

sinta and anthony / byron plantation

planned from start to finish in under 6 weeks.

just incredible.

anthony + sinta + little imani had visited byron plantation just over a month prior to plant a tree when they decided it was time to make their family official.

it was an easy choice for them where it was going to happen.

and to say I was fortunate to be available to be there is indeed an understatement.

anthony’s preparations byron at byron; planning by roxy from frank and joy; flowery goodness by estelle from the french petal; ceremony performed by audrey fisher; photography by kate from bushturkey; feast by jane + team from the harvest cafe; transport by the london bus; party sounds by matt from north coast entertainment; and a special huge thanks to peter and wendy from byron plantation for opening their doors + hearts to allow this celebration

a wedding kept under wraps / rachel and chris

it has to be said…

planning a wedding yourself can be a major, sometimes even a daunting task. it can take a huge amount of time and attention and challenges. it’s not for the fainthearted and this is why great wedding planners exist.

so – imagine doing all of this, all by yourself, and at the same time keeping it all under wraps. barely anyone to bounce ideas off, allocate various tasks to or confide in.

this is what rachel and chris undertook. rachel is a photographer herself so she knew what she was up for, and she just did it.

they didn’t want anyone to go to any trouble…no cards, no new outfits, no gifts, no fuss.

‘come to our engagement party’ they told their friends and family.

‘just come celebrate with us’

it was only 2 weeks prior that they told their parents what was happening. and that they didn’t need to do a thing.

everything had already been organised.

add to all this a first look, some secret messages read around a corner from each other, a cracking party with a sparkler lit first dance, and it’s very rare that you’re a part of a celebration like this.

in the rhetorical words of chris’ dad ~ ‘how good is life?’

rachel and chris’ preparations at lyndoch by the lake; making up by house of glamour; hair by shannon from glamour hair design; flowers and ceremony arch by alstonville florist; ceremony performed by jo kilburn; photo taking goodness by lauren + tara; sky daddy trio rocked the party; and a massive thanks to tony + kim from down converys lane for opening their place and making everyone so welcome

katie and lee | mum – it says ‘happy wedding’

there’s something inherently beautiful about any family unit, whatever the dynamics or make up of it.

witnessing the energy and love that parents pour into their kids is something special.

katie and lee had booked me for their wedding quite some time ago but it was postponed for 12+ months when their family of 3 expanded by +1 with little daisy.

the day spent with them was as fun as it was inspiring – and that’s saying something.

“mum – it says ‘happy wedding’…”

K&C @ DB

this journey I’m on. these couples I meet…and these celebrations I get to witness and play some small part in.

two people, two families and two cultures coming together. that’s what this day was all about and everyone involved was so, so fortunate to be included.

what a trip this journey is.
